Cello and Other Instrument Articles
Listed below is a selection of articles concerning not just the cello and bass violin, but a variety of bowed
string instruments. I think these publications - some of them are extremely fine - will likely be of interest to many
string players, not just cellists. In spite of this, I do feel obligated here to offer an apology to cellists, for
they will most certainly find "their" list lacking. But this page is not intended as a cello or bass violin bibliography
in any sense. Rather, it is a collection of articles about bowed string instruments that weren't specifically appropriate
for the gamba or violone lists.
If any readers (cellists in particular!) would like to suggest materials for
inclusion here, please bring them to my attention by sending me an email.
